ShoreLake Arts is inviting you to take pArt in our first-ever Summer Art Challenge! All are welcome to participate. Students in grades PreK – 5 who participate and turn in their completed Summer Art Challenge sheet to the ShoreLake Arts Gallery at the Town Center at Lake Forest Park by Saturday, September 16, 2023, are eligible for the chance to win a prize!
Summer Art Challenge Posters will be available for pickup at all ShoreLake Arts summer events and at the ShoreLake Arts Gallery at the Town Center at Lake Forest Park starting after school on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, and available when the gallery is open throughout the summer Tuesday – Saturday, 12 – 5 pm. What is the ShoreLake Arts Summer Art Challenge?
Great question! It’s a brand new super fun and free ShoreLake Arts activity designed to create opportunities for you to participate in the arts and community events this summer.
Do I have to do the Art Bingo activities exactly the way they are written on the Art Bingo card?
Great question! Our Summer Art Challenge is designed to inspire you to participate in art activities this summer. Want to design something other than a rocket? Go for it, and mark that activity square complete! Want to build a sculpture out of something other than mud, sand, or clay? Go for it, and mark that activity square complete. Want to do the activities exactly the way they are written? Go for it! Do what works best for you and have fun!
Where do I turn in a completed Summer Art Challenge?
Students grades PreK- grade 5 can turn in their completed Summer Art Challenge at the ShoreLake Arts Gallery at the Town Center at Lake Forest Park before September 16, 2023. The ShoreLake Arts Gallery is open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 12 pm - 5 pm.
Do I have to do all the bingo activity squares?
It’s up to you! Do as few or as many as you wish. Students in grades PreK - grade 5 who complete 5 activities in a row (verticle, horizontal, diagonal) and turn in their Summer Art Challenge before the deadline will be entered in our drawing for raffle prizes. Students grade PreK - grade 5 who complete EVERY SQUARE and turn in their Summer Art Challenge before the deadline will be entered into our raffle drawing our GRAND PRIZE.
Who can participate in the ShoreLake Arts Summer Art Challenge?
Everyone is invited to take a poster, or print their own, and participate in our Art Bingo activities this summer. Students in grades PreK - grade 5 who complete 5 activities in a row (verticle, horizontal, diagonal) and turn in their Summer Art Challenge at our ShoreLake Arts Gallery before the deadline (September 16, 2023) will be entered in our drawing for raffle prizes. Where can I get a poster-size version of the Summer Art Challenge?
Summer Art Challenge posters can be picked up at any ShoreLake Arts programs this summer (Art Adventures Summer Camps, Concerts in the Parks, Battle of the Bands, etc.). You can also pick them up at our ShoreLake Arts Gallery Tuesdays-Saturdays, 12 pm - 5 pm.
