Awaken Your Creativity this Summer with ShoreLake Arts!

Our Summer Camps for elementary students and middle school students are taught by professional artists and experienced arts educators. ShoreLake Arts offers young artists unparalleled access to explore art with top Teaching Artists from our region’s diverse creative community in a fun and relaxed environment—perfect for summer!

Class sizes are limited to ensure that participants of all experience levels have a positive and enriching experience. We reserve seats in every summer session we run for students who will be offered financial assistance.

Our weekly half day and full day summer program sessions start on June 2026.

Camp Policy & FAQs

Daily Camp Schedules

When the weather and air quality allow, breaks will take place outdoors. Students are encouraged to dress for summer weather and sunshine. 

Our Teaching Artists will adjust daily schedules as needed to best support the needs of our students.

Summer Camp Classes

Week 1: Doodles, Drawing & Comics

Love to doodle in your free time?  We will help you improve your drawing skills  & techniques.

Week 1: The Science of Art

Color mixing, Da Vinci & things that fly:  find out how magnets, marbles, salt, alcohol & more are used in art to create!

Week 2: You’re Bugging Me!

What do you do with bugs, nature, paint, glue, fabric and more?  Join us as you explore the insect world & nature in art!

Week 2: Paperwork Construction

Construct artwork using cardboard & paper to turn it into your own creations.  Cut, paste & tear your way through all kinds of fun projects.

Week 3: Bits & Bots

What bits will you need to create your 2-D & 3-D Bots and other creations.  Come explore with us!

Week 3: Earth Art Ninjas

Nature rubbings, cyno printing & creating from the heart.   Using abstract art and various media to explore the natural world, including you!

Week 4: Art and Architecture

Buildings, bridges & sculptures.  Explore how architecture influences art in 2-D & 3-D projects you’ll enjoy.

Week 4: It’s All About Me

Who are you when you’re happy?  Sad?How about when you’re drawing or painting?  Find ways to learn more about yourself & creating art.

Week 5: Drawing the Day Away

How do you draw a lion?  What is shading?  Brush up on your drawing skills with this class & learn more!

Week 5: Anchors Away!

Explore colorful oceans, crazy sea creatures and more using paint, salt, magazines & more.

Week 6: Mix It Up!

Explore the senses with hands-on art techniques like fingerpainting & molding 3-D sculptures.  Artwork that is uniquely yours!

Week 6: Featuring Creatures!

Animals & creatures from the world and your imagination.  Create their habitats and the world they live in.
