DESCRIPTION
This class is all about visually exploring nature and painting from observation. By the end of this course, you will be able to head out into the field with the confidence that you need to complete a plein air painting. You will learn what kind of equipment to use in the field, what materials you will need for plein air painting, how to choose a subject and compose the scene, how to analyze the scene in 3-4 values, and how to use visual vocabulary to capture the beauty of the great outdoors.
Both beginner and more advanced painters will benefit from this class and will enjoy learning with others in the natural beauty of Kruckeberg Botanic Garden. Some drawing experience can be helpful but is not required.
