Pop-Up Drive-In Series

Launched in June 2020 in the midst of Covid-19, the community was able to enjoy safe social distancing with our mixture of film series, from local short film talent, to old classics. All in the safety of their own car.

Bringing back a relic from our past, this program was presented with major support from the City of Shoreline, and a grant from the Port of Seattle. Our community was able to kick back and relax while watching a handpicked selection of local short films and old classics. All in the comfort and safety of their car.

Movies were projected onto a large screen, and an FM radio station was created so that film-goers could tune in on their car radios.

The series ran rom late June to early November 2020. To ensure our communities safety, we designed the evenings to comply with the current state health guidelines. Drive in included coming in through our contactless entry system - and we encouraged visitors to grab take-out from local restaurants (through an interactive map King County provided), and settle in for a relaxing night watching film history masterpieces, or a mix of our most loved short films by our very own local talent.

Held at the parking lot at Shorewood High School in Shoreline.
