About me: I was born in New Haven Connecticut and raised in an art nurturing family. My father William Cronogue, also a painter, graduated from the Arts Students League In New York. He was my mentor. I have studied and practiced fine art for the last forty years. I have taught at the public schools, and given private lessons at my home. As a teacher I worked with young adults, teaching constructive drawing, as a tool to help them manage their issues.
Many of my paintings are in private homes. I also have been featured in one person shows at different galleries. I spend many hours of the day painting or drawing in my studio. The medium I enjoy the most is watercolor or acrylic paintings.
Most of Melany's work is done onsite - some of her favorite include historic barns, lighthouses, local landscapes and animals. She enjoys doing custom artwork for people that capture a memory of a favorite animal or place.
