Shi-Shi Design
Stella Rush
Shi-Shi Design is a mother-daughter collaboration between Linda Rush and Sella Rush, handcrafting jewelry since 2006. We use primarily natural stone and metal, but our pieces might also feature glass, leather, shell, ceramic, whatever strikes our fancy. Our designs tend to start with a focal piece and build out with color, shape, and texture to create pieces that are truly special and unique. Linda's work is adventurous in style. Her specialties include chunky works featuring unusual combinations of stones and chains, metal collage pendants and cuffs. She achieves perfect balance in her asymmetric pieces. Linda's favorite element is the ocean, whether she's working in aqua colors, coral or shell, or using sea imagery. Sella tends toward greater symmetry and subtle color palettes in her pieces, instead pushing boundaries with shape and juxtaposition. Her work often features wire work and custom crafted metal components. Sella particularly loves working in stones like labradorite, moss aquamarine, and opal, stones with a brilliance that sneaks up on you. Our Shi-Shi Design workshop is located in Shoreline, Washington. We named ourselves after a quite beautiful and remote beach on the Olympic Peninsula, one of our favorite hiking destinations.
