Robert Lang

Robert Lang Studios

Robert founded Robert Lang Studios, Seattle’s legendary world class recording studio. He is the tech, creative force and visionary of the studio. Robert built it from the ground up using stone, marble and concrete giving it incomparable acoustics, atmosphere and killer drum sounds! The studio is home to thousands of recordings from local, national and international artists such as Dave Matthews, Foo Fighters and Peter Frampton. “If these walls could talk!”

Tina Lang

Robert Lang Studios Academy

Tina runs Robert Lang Studios Academy. “What better place to run a recording academy than Robert Lang Studios itself?” The one year audio engineering certificate program prides itself in offering hands-on training in a real working studio. Tina has been part of the music industry for decades. Besides managing RLS and RLSA, she has worked in marketing, sales, merchandising and promotion for Warner/Elektra/Atlantic Records. Her favorite part of the business is breaking new bands!

Scott Markley

Annex Room Studio

Drummer for The Mercy Ray and Managing Partner at Annex Room Studio.
Scott has involved in music as long as he can remember, starting the drums at age 13 after saving up paper route earnings to get his first kit.  Over the last several years Scott has been committed to drumming for their eclectic, frenetic, and downright fun band, The Mercy Ray.  Along with Rick and Heidi from the band, they are running Annex Room Studio in Lake City, a hybrid rehearsal / performance / livestream space.

Jeannie Rak

Jeannie Rak exploded onto Seattle’s music scene after honing her lilting and soaring voice as a Pike Place Market busker. Her original music ranges from sad ballads to upbeat pop and r&b, and as a nod to her busking days, her covers include her own twists and garnishes on the classics. Much of her creative energy comes from growing up in Bangkok, Thailand and the ten years she’s come (out and) into herself in Canada and the US. She released six songs and three music videos in 2021, and has an EP planned for spring.
