Visual Arts

Check out Soo's work:
Soo Hong (b. Seoul, Korea) constantly moved, lived in five different countries, and struggled to learn new languages and cultures each time. Now she is striving to settle in the U.S. Not deeply rooted in a particular country or culture, Hong has felt being alienated by her surroundings and longed for her identity. To find her true voice, Hong went to London and earned an M.A. at Central Saint Martins College of Arts after studying furniture design in Korea. After projects commissioned by multinational corporations, such as Nike and MTV, and magazines, she produced a unique visual language by incorporating traditional and digital painting. Through collaboration with other disciplines, community and public art projects, she challenges herself with new ways to experience art. Her works have been exhibited in the Architectural digest show (New York), Artifact (New York), Apart Gallery (London), Linda Hodges gallery (Seattle), Minsheng art museum (Shanghai), Triad gallery (Seoul), Tokyo international Art Fair (Tokyo), and Hong Kong Contemporary Artwalk (Hong Kong).
