Judy Chia Hui Hsu

Judy Chia Hui Hsu is a visual artist who once wrote about the arts as a journalist. Judy was born in Taipei, Taiwan. After traveling across the United States, her family settled in Los Angeles. Following her dad's passion, she became a world traveler. Her observations on wilderness and wildlife on these voyages influence her work’s vibrant colors and bold forms. Judy studied at Gage Academy of Art, specializing in abstract painting. Her work has been recognized in group juried exhibitions in cities throughout the United States. Judy won Best in Show in the Abstractions exhibit at Blue Girl Gallery, Dallas, Texas. She also won 1st place in the Abstract category at Best of Gage. Judy holds degrees from Stanford University and the University of Southern California’s Graduate School of Journalism. She is currently based in Seattle.
