In this 8-week hands-on art class, Meridian Park students in grades K-2 are invited on a journey to learn about folk art traditions from around the world and from the Pacific Northwest! Students will gain a truly global perspective of art and build appreciation for the things that bring different people and places together.

In the event that the Shoreline School District cancels school or after-school activities due to inclement weather, we will hold up to 2 make-up classes as needed on these dates:

Cartoon characters can take any shape and form that we can imagine. In this fun 8-week after-school art class, Meridian Park students grades 3-5 will learn how to use essential drawing tools to create their own characters and stories. Then they will bring these stories to life with 2D and 3D art. Students will explore capturing expression, using angles to add excitement, bringing characters to life with motion, telling a comic story, and more!
